Preschool Activity: Pictionary

A fun activity we play with the Boy is Pictionary.  He loves guessing what we’re drawing and is very proud of himself when he gets it right.  I am always amazed that he even can come close to what I am drawing.  Thankfully, talent is not a prerequisite when becoming a parent or else I would have been in trouble!

To play, simple use a white board, chalk board or markers/crayons and paper.  Randomly draw objects, animals, shapes that your child may recognize and encourage them to identify.  I found this especially helpful in encouraging my son to increase his words since he was a late talker.

Now, below is an example of some of the animals I draw for him to guess.  Um, it is pretty interpretative. He, somehow, can guess them all now.  Can you?
