With holiday shopping in full swing for many of us, we are all likely looking closely at our budget to ensure we don’t spend wildly. One way that we can save some money is through discount deal sites like WagJag. This is a group-buy site that offers you the chance to save big on some great items for yourself or for gift giving.
By signing up for the deals in your city, you get first-hand opportunities to save (but don’t wait too long in case the deal sells out which happens to me when I procrastinate!)
If you live in the Ottawa area, you likely saw the deal for Place D’Orleans that came out yesterday – and sold out within hours! If you were like me, you waited until too late to buy, but for those who got in on the spend $10 for $20 worth of mall gift cards. That’s the kind of great deal that is available.
But for other deals that are still available, you have some really great chances to give and save.
Looking for ideas? Not sure what they have to offer?
In the Holiday Shoppe, I’m eying this letter-art. It’s 64% off ($25 for a value of $75) and there are so many people that would love this. Use a last name, a special word with meaning – take your pick. I have a couple ideas of who to get it for (but, just in case they are reading I shouldn’t say!).
The Name Your Tune deal is a gift I have recommended on this blog before and is 50% off in the WagJag Holiday Shoppe. Or, for another child-friendly gift how about Easy Daisies which are 50% off (and they were on Dragon’s Den! Did you see that episode? Pretty cool).
And lastly, there is a fun deal on some cool iPhone covers. I mean, the Plant vs Zombies ones? Pretty awesome (and maybe I should be adding that to MY list of wants?).
There are a lot of option for us budget watchers and many of the deals can be purchased for ourselves, plus extras to be given as gifts.

I have purchased several gifts from the WagJag gift shoppe so far this year. There are some really good ones, like spa packages and skiing packages. Also, I agree, the iPhone case one is pretty good too. There’s even some jewelry, which is always nice to get a deal on!
