I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of the learning I took in at Social Capital Conference this past weekend. On Friday, we began the weekend with workshops. 3 hours of real hands on, nitty gritty work – pen to paper, or, in the first workshop’s case, face to video. Something like that at least!
Anthony Wong of Do More Video instructed us on creating mobile videos with apps on our mobile devices. I used my iPhone because it’s commonly what I always carry with me, however, I can easily transfer to the iPad if I want a bigger space to work from.
This mini movie was created during the workshop. The title cards, the colour editing, the sound mixing, the recording (and yes, that’s a random finger going by of a fellow attendee, but I’m still learning how to do voice over the video to cut stuff like that out. HA!). We put it together and now, just like that, it’s up on the Bitofmomsense YouTube channel!
I am so excited to create more videos. When I get excited about this kind of learning one of two things typically happens – I either get so overwhelmed I get stuck and never follow up or I do it over and over and over again like an obsession. You’ll be seeing a lot of videos so the latter seems to be happening. It’s fun and addictive!
I am envisioning videos from our trips, from events, from advertisers, me offering tips and tricks, cooking – oh the possibilities! (See. Excited.)
I’ll have more videos coming soon. The movie above was made on iMovie, it costs $4.99 to download and is worth it.
More about the conference in a future post too!!
