Our recent travels brought us to many exciting, beautiful places in Ontario that we’ve either been to before or were happy to discover for the first time.
There is something magical about being so close to these beautiful creatures. The kids have both done units at school about the butterfly life cycle, and seeing them in this setting, a rainforest style environment, was a great fit for both of them.
It’s a beautiful setting with learning opportunities and an up close and personal experience with nature for the entire family!
Planning to go?
Admission details: The cost of admission for all four of us is about $50 and we were there for over an hour. Prices are per adult and child, and you can visit website for details and hours. Parking is additional.
Tips: It’s set in the Botanical Gardens which are worth taking time to walk around, exploring the different varieties of plants and enjoying the shade of some very old, beautiful trees.
Thinking about bringing a stroller? Skip if if you can. You’ll have more mobility if you can carry the little one! If the stroller is a must, it is accessible, just look for stray butterflies on the ground!
