Easter Gifts – part 1

Easter is only a few weeks away.  We’re looking forward to a trip to see Grandma out of town and the aunts and uncle the kids don’t get to see often enough.

This also means that I should buy the gifts we’re bringing for the kids (and the chocolate I get the Man) before leaving so they can get packed.  I could do it there but then it’s just a pain.

I know some people buy big gifts for Easter.  We tend not to.  It’s usually chocolate for us (this year I think we’ll do chocolate for the Boy) and books and a small game or toy.

This year, I’ve ordered a bunch of Scholastic and Chapters books.  For the Girl, a hardcover book about a ducky and it’s love for mommy and one of the BEST books ever “Open the Barn Door”; a classic my son had but now has missing flaps and dried food on it, so she can have a fresh one (she’s only 6 weeks so an easy buy 🙂 and a couple I Spy books for the Boy.  We’ve decided to also get him a baseball glove and do an Egg hunt at Grandma’s.  This will go over well, especially since I think I’ll get the cool sports themed plastic eggs I saw at Michaels.

What does everyone else do for Easter gifts?  Do you have certain traditions?

ps:  this is titled ‘part 1’ because I am going to do ‘part 2’ another time, but dedicate it only to the wonderful world of Chocolate!
