More Green shows to check out in Ottawa

After attending the 1st annual Ottawa Green Expo, I was excited to learn that there were a couple more Green related shows happening in Ottawa.  These fairs are great ways to inform yourself on new products in the world of Green and non-toxic living or alternatives in energy, renovating or transportation.

The Ottawa Ecofair is on April 18 at the RA Centre on Riverside Dr.  According to the website, there will be a lot of booths with information on health, fashion, foods, energy and transportation.  There will be a children’s eco-carnival but while that sounds great, I have no idea what that means! 

That same weekend is the Green Wellness Expo in Orleans.   This will be the third year for the event and a list of exhibitors is on the website. What’s great is that it’s East Ottawa focused and part of the money raised from the $5 admission goes to support the Friends of Petrie Island, a charity working to preserve the island and it’s natural inhabitants.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend either event!  I’m very disappointed, I really wanted to go.  However, I’ll hopefully hear about good finds from any of you who go. 

Both shows are just in time for Earth Day on April 22!
