Update: Thank you to everyone who participated this weekend. I received many tweets and comments letting me know you enjoyed your poutine! Amy had a great idea and next time I’ll include a Mr. Linky so we can keep track. I have another challenge in mind before the holidays so stay tuned 😉
There’s a lot of talk right now on Twitter about poutine. People who want one, people who have never tried one (wha what?), people who craved during pregnancies.
Now, I’m craving a poutine like crazy. So, here’s my proposition: I’m starting a Poutine Pledge and invite you to join me.
This weekend, at some point, you have to have a poutine. It doesn’t matter from where (Harvey’s, Costco, restaurant, on the side with a meal, homemade) but do it. Then, please share! Where did you have it? Have you had poutine before? Was it traditional or a variation?
I know there are people who don’t know poutine, but it’s huge in parts of Canada, especially Eastern Ontario and Quebec. It consists of layering french fries, cheese (curds if you have them!) and gravy.
So, you in? And now that I have declared this, it also gives me an excuse to eat it this weekend, so thank you online world!
