The Golden Globes are on tomorrow night. I always like watching them, the Emmys, the Oscars etc. I like seeing who wins, who is wearing what and who will make a complete fool of themselves.
Usually, I try to watch a couple of the movies that are nominated, but really, I am so far behind on my movies it’s not funny. I have TMN, so at least I get to watch some, but by the time I get them, they are almost a year old! This year, for probably the first time, I have seen NONE of the nominated movies!
But, I like TV! So, a few people/shows I’ll be cheering for tomorrow night:
Dexter – Michael C Hall is nominated (yay!) for best actor so here’s hoping and John Lithgow is going to win best supporting actor (that’s my call, he was the craziest bad guy ever!). The show is also up, against one of my other favourites True Blood. I still give the edge to Dexter.
Glee is in the same category as 30 Rock, so that’s a tough one. Love love Glee, it’s format, the dry humour but holy cow 30 Rock is just hilarious. It’s a bit of a toss up – will Glee win for being so unique and original? Or 30 Rock for it’s ongoing hilarity (but, The Office could come in there because really? so funny. Did you see the wedding episode?)

Male lead in a comedy is a tough one too. Love Alec Baldwin and Steve Carell. I’m going with Carell this year. The Wedding episode rocked.
Jane Lynch has to win in supporting actress for comedy or music on TV. Sue Sylvester doesn’t lose.
