This is just a quick linky update post if you will – some articles I’ve written in the past month and some upcoming events that you may be interested in!
My recent Momstown post was all about having a fun Pirate lunch – this is a completely different take on lunch trust me!
I wrote about trail mix on Everything Mom – my version is boring but the kids love it. There’s links to some more adventurous ones as well!
I also guest posted on Lara Wellman’s blog about Social Media and the stress that numbers can cause – and how to avoid it!
After you’ve done that reading 😉 get your calendars out! Here are some dates that you may be interested in:
October 1: Ten Thousand Villages is celebrating it’s 65th year of bringing unique hand crafted and fair trade products to so many. Love this store so much (and have gotten many gifts there!). Ottawa locations will be celebrating with displays, giveaways and refreshments. Check out the locations.
October 8: Toopy and Binoo at the NAC! I imagine this is going to be a fun, family show – we love Toopy and Binoo! Tickets are available online.
October 20: Schmoozefest – a United Way Fundraiser. Network, mingle and laugh with Ottawa VIPs and friends. I’ve been wanting to go to this event for years and I think this is finally the year I get a ticket! You can too on the website.
October 29 and 30th, 11 am – My Little Pony is at the St. Laurent Centre! I suspect this is going to be popular!
I have a feeling there will be more great dates and activities to keep track of! What a busy time of year!
Are you going to any of these events?
We are going to see Toopy and Binoo on October 8th. I took a risk and bought the tickets. I hope that my son will be OK there. He gets overwhelmed by crowds and loud noises. I am hoping for the best since T & B are his VERY favourite!
Thanks for the tip on 10,000 Villages 🙂 I need a housewarming gift!
