The Long Weekend Mini Road Trip

It was Monday of last week, a few days before the long weekend, when I emailed Andy and simply said ‘what if we just went away this weekend to Niagara?’.  His reply was nothing more than ‘do it’.

I started to look at availability and schedules and logistics and by Tuesday we had everything booked.  We didn’t tell the kids but had a weekend of fun in Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake and relaxation planned.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was in the mid-twenties almost all weekend and without having chores, or work or commitments to tend to we could just laugh and play and enjoy each other’s company.

With our anniversary approaching on Thursday, we were lucky my Mother-in-law joined us and watched the kids while we enjoyed a fancy, and delicious, winery dinner.
