2 Eco Tips I learned on the Internet

Ahhh the Internet.  Such a beautiful thing. It’s where I can go to find a new recipe for a pork roast, pull up a phone number and stalk learn about my favourite actors.

The Internet has also taught me many tricks and tips that I use almost daily.  Sometimes clicking on that link in my Facebook or Twitter stream really does make a difference.

Take, for example, 2 eco-friendly tips that I’ve learned over the years.

The first is how to take care of my wooden cutting boards.  I love my wood cutting boards and while I have a special cleaner for the giant bamboo board, I needed a way to clean my other ones as well.

Turns out, all I needed was some salt and lemon! This has been really helpful!

The other trick is my stove top.  It’s messy and dirty after a day of cooking and baking so when I read about how to clean it quickly thanks to this Yummy Mummy Club article on how to clean my glass stove top I was thrilled to learn that it not only worked, but worked surprisingly well!!!  Baking soda and water is a pretty amazing combination. It’s a keeper!

Looking for more tips about eco-cleaners? I wrote about my journey to go more green in our cleaners after worrying about my first child as a baby and what toxins were lurking in our cleaning products.  Once I made the switch, I haven’t gone back!
