Ottawa Beauty

Sometimes, when you live in a city long enough, you forget to appreciate it.  You make travel plans and bucket lists that include other places you want to travel, even when beauty and wonder is in your own backyard.

I do this with Ottawa sometimes.  I love living here, but our day-to-day grind often means we aren’t seeing everything – all of the city’s talent and wonder.

This weekend, after a drive around the city and walk downtown, I was reminded to stop and appreciate what I have within minutes of me. It’s pretty darn special.
