This week’s Mommy Monday is dedicated to telling you about a great site that I am fortunate enough to participate in. Everything Mom is a website that brings together moms and highlights social networking with a mom-mom platform.
I came across Everything Mom when it was once called Mommy Club. I was just starting maternity leave with my first child, wanted to be a blogger (which ended up taking 2.5 years for the record for me to publically write…) and Mommy Club was there with other women, information, and connections. Now, it’s grown into a wonderful community called Everything Mom.
Registration is free and with membership you can list your business or blog and browse other peoples sites. There’s also a Twitter listing page which is where I’ve been able to connect with so many other cool moms.
Michelle who runs the site (find her on Twitter @EverythingMom) is super nice and obviously has worked hard to put together an online get-together place for moms.
When I applied and was accepted to be a Mom Influencer on the site (see my button at the right!), I was really honoured. And a bit worried. Would I do a good job? Was I really a Mom Influencer? But the community and the creative flexibility afforded to me at Everything Mom has been refreshing.
I blog over on that site a few random thoughts that maybe I wouldn’t post here but want to share. I comment on the forum and asks questions – to which there’s always someone willing to share.
I suppose that’s the greatest thing about social networking sites like this (or like Twitter), someone is always willing to share. Or to listen. And what mom doesn’t want someone to listen to them? (my kids surely don’t always…)
