She’s Leaving on a Jet Plane…

Heading to Blissdom Canada tomorrow – a writing, social media, public relations conference where I get to learn AND connect with some amazing people.  It’s a great combination (despite my hesitation at leaving the family – I will miss them!!)

I don’t have a lot of sage advice about conferences (I’ve attended and planned them before) but I do know there is one important thing to remember about them: Be Yourself.  No one is looking to meet the ‘fake’ you, they are looking to just meet you.  Think of it like Twitter – there’s no butting in, just join and chat, except you are able to speak in greater length than 140 characters.
