Past, Present, Future

I was tagged by Vicky at Some Kind of Wondermom in her post reflecting on life before kids (remember that?), current joys and the future.

I make no secret that time is my enemy. While I look forward to a bright, fun future with my children and family, and certainly take great pride and joy in watching my kids grow up, but I don’t like to rush it. But here is my list of some things I miss and the many things I look forward to:

I miss…

• Uninterrupted dinners
• Sleeping in
• Long, afternoon naps
• Dinners at fancy restaurants
• Window shopping

I love….

• My sweeties
• Coffee
• Morning baby coos
• Chocolate
• My husband’s sense of humour
• Playing ‘hugs and kisses’ tackle with the kids and listening to them shriek with laughter
• Quiet time
• The word ‘mama’

I look forward to…

• Family vacations (goals: Europe, Disney World, Spring Training)
• Sleep
• A happy, healthy future with my family
