1 year ago today our family of three became four.

1 year ago today I went from parenting a son, to parenting a son and daughter.

1 year ago today you stopped kicking and rolling in my belly and demanded to come out (and you did so easily).

1 year ago today you brought joy to your daddy and I in a new way.

1 year ago today our lives were enriched, and enlightened with more love.

1 year ago today, your brother got a sister.

1 year ago today I held you for the first time.

1 year ago today I said ‘I love you’ face-to-face.

1 year ago today you were born.

And every day after that, I have been reminded of the joy I felt when you were placed in my arms.  

1 year ago today, you were and will always be surrounded by love.
