Another beach day here and despite the wind, it’s still easy to enjoy the beaches here on PEI. We decided to check out a different beach than the one at the cottage. Last year we discovered Panmure Island and vowed to go back. We drove the 1.5 hours east to get there and it was so worth it. Such a beautiful, fun day.
This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to in Canada. The sand is almost white and so soft, the water, although cold, is pleasant to swim in – with very few rocks or shells under foot.
I should have remembered to put sunscreen on my feet though. D’oh! I know better too!!
Also: Today’s Operation Eat-Lobster-Everyday was a lobster chowder at Brehault’s in Murray Harbour. Their clam strips are also out of this world.
Tomorrow is calling for a little rain so we’re heading back to Charlottetown for some touring around…
Looks gorgeous! PEI is on my list of places to see. Thanks for sharing.
it’s worth planning the trip Julia! So peaceful
Any type of chowder is my all-time favourite thing to eat. Looks gorgeous!!
today’s chowder that Andy had was amazing too!!
you are making me hungry (doesn’t help that it is lunch time here). And you also make me want a trip to PEI. Must work that into next summer!
the food is amazing. We tend to have huge lunches when out and about and smaller meals at the cottage 😉
You have a wonderful holiday vacation. It is good to stay at the beaches during vacation because the pristine water and the powder sand provide wonderful relaxation.
I think PEI is a nice place to have a vacation. The beach is so captivating.
