Ottawa is buried until beautiful Christmas snow right now. I am happy to see the lovely flakes falling, but also know that it wreaks havoc on travellers this time of year.
Do you call this snow Christmas snow? I always do. It’s characterized but the white, fluffy, almost cotton-ball snowflakes and the fact that it’s good for making snowmen. Like Frosty. And frosty was always brought back to life thanks to Christmas snow.
We’ve been outside making our own snowman, having a snowball fight (which for the record, makes my son laugh like nothing else) and then enjoyed baking and hot chocolate.
I kept my son home from school (which was a tough decision knowing today was all about fun!) but we’ve been making the most of it. I don’t mind having a Winter Wonderland to enjoy right now, especially with my favourite little ones laughing and playing in the house with me.
Snow, snow, snow, I love it! I live up in the Gatineau Hills and it’s truly a winter wonderland up here today, we’ve had a ton of the white stuff and it keeps on falling.
I really like that in keeping your son home it wasn’t just about sitting in front of the TV all day, making a snow man is a great idea. MY son and his girlfriend who are back for Christmas just made two huge ones (man and woman) in our front yard.
Thought I’d let you and your readers know about a small gift that a friend told me about for those of us who have difficult gift giving to do…this may be a solution. The auto show currently giving $3 off show tickets and you can buy them online http://autoshowottawa.com/buy-tickets/#.UNSlmHfUl8I super easy and great small gift or stocking stuffer. I hope this helps someone like it helped me!
Merry Christmas to all!
