Returning from Away

We are back in Ottawa and despite feeling like January has skated by me, we are happy to be home. It was a fantastic (although quick) weekend away to visit the family in Windsor and for Andy and I to go, alone, overnight, to a family wedding.

The results: We all had a great time (no real surprises!).  The kids had fun and did really well in the night, if not stirring a little bit (and my son admitted to waking up once in the night, tired and sad that we weren’t there until falling back asleep).

Meanwhile, Andy and I laughed, and laughed and danced and danced and had a wonderful time with family.  It was really a nice weekend.

Will we do it again? At some point, for sure.  But I will say, there was nothing sweeter than our snuggles with the kids when we got back home 🙂
