The Halloween candy is finally all gone.
But it amuses me how clever my children try to be about it. ‘Just one more mom! We’ve been good!’. ‘Oh, can we share one please?’ ‘How about I grab something for my sister and I, that will make her happy!’.
But my daughter’s plan took the cake. Here’s a basic transcript:
_____
Her: “Mom. Can I please have these peanut M & Ms for a treat?”
Me: “Sure honey, but only that one mini package”
*she eats all of them but 1*
Her: “Mom. These have nuts in them. I don’t like them” (she’s eaten these a bazillion times before)
Me: “Um. You just decided you didn’t like them after eating them all but one?”
Her: “yeah. I didn’t like them. Can I have a new treat?”
Oh, clever girl. She got another treat, mostly because I appreciated her thought process.
Cutie!
They grow up too fast, don’t they? 😀
Happy Halloween from the future! 😉
