If you’ve been following this blog for any length of time, you’ll know I have a love for Ten Thousand Villages. I was so sad to find out that the store I frequented on Bank Street had closed, but happy that Ottawa has the Westboro location to shop at still.
I have bought countless food items at the store, gifts and household items. I love the jewellery, the unique selection of products and that they are made and purchased from artistans at fair prices.
This Friday, November 7, Ten Thousand Villages is hosting a Foodie Festival Friday as the kick off to their annual Festival Sale.
Not only will there be coffee samples from Equator (I love that coffee!) and food tastings, but attendees have the chance to kick off their holiday shopping!
Also, the super talented Catherine Beddall, pastry chef and owner of Catherine’s Cakery, is hosting decorating demos and will be raffling off this stunning gingerbread house!
Read more about Catherine and her creations on A Peek Inside the Fishbowl! You can also follow Catherine on Facebook.
The event is open to the public and will take place from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Can’t make it on Friday? No worries, the Festival Sale continues with Ten Thousand Villages at the Ottawa Mennonite Church every Friday and Saturday in November! Visit the website for full sale dates, times and information.
I hope to see you on Friday Night!
Disclosure: I get a goodie bag of treats from Ten Thousand Villages as a thank you for helping to promote the event, but I’m going because I love supporting them and buy their products frequently!
I love Ten Thousand Villages, though it has been awhile since I last shopped there, I have purchased a few wedding gifts in the past. I had not heard of the very talented Catherine Beddall and I really enjoyed going through her site! Her cakes are stunning and her gingerbread houses shown here and in the links are gorgeous. Have fun at the TTV’s event tomorrow.
