I’m not sure I can say that I believe in destiny – the belief that something is meant to happen to me no matter what. Parts of me considers there are elements in destiny that could be true, but I also believe that most of us can be in control of our own destiny.
However, when it comes to fiction, I love a great destiny story. The big, overreaching plot that a character was meant to become something more; to do something more. It’s likely why I’m drawn to so many superhero movies and shows.
I’ve watched Ever After High on Netflix with my daughter and both of us really enjoyed it! I like the twist on the Fairy Tale characters that we know from our childhood (the main characters are the children of the characters we know and love ), and the conversation about destiny – and whether or not someone can change their own – is at the forefront. The new special extended episode has been released and is available for viewing! Ever After High: Spring Awakening is now on Netflix. My daughter and I have plans to watch this soon!
Meanwhile, it’s my destiny to watch the new season of House of Cards. Have you started yet? We are a few episodes in. I am so happy to have it back!
