A little bit of everything: This and That

Summer is in full swing! School is out, we are keeping very busy with family activities, park visits and a lot of sprinkler time.

I have been sluggish in the blog writing/work department and frankly that likely won’t change, so many of my projects are being postponed until the Fall.  I think this is a big step for me because instead of saying ‘yes’ I at least recognize that I can’t do it all right now.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot happening! So what’s going on?

*Along with my own blogs, you can find me guesting on Everything Mom with this article about picnics and on monthly on Momstown.ca.

*Gwen and I have announced the sale of tables for Shopping and Sweets! Last year was such a success so we were very anxious to get things started this year.  It’s once again taking place at Shenkman Arts Centre and like last year, proceeds will be donated to local charities.

*Blog Out Loud (BOLO) is this Thursday! I am one of twenty bloggers who will be on stage reading a post from the past year.  Please come out to say hi and meet the wonderful bloggers that Ottawa has.  Last year was my first time at the event and I was so happy I went.  It inspired me to keep blogging and connecting.

*As a member of the planning committee for Social Capital Conference I have been busy with others getting the event details sorted out.  What an amazing line up of speakers and learning we have planned!  Have you bought your ticket yet?

Phew, that’s a lot (and a few others things are in the works!).
