It’s been a surprisingly busy summer (well, maybe not a complete surprise, but I will say it’s mostly been busy from a ‘family/playing/vacation’ kind of perspective. Loving it!) but I’ve still managed to sneak in a few exciting things here and here.
This is just a quick wrap up of what’s been happening!
Latest Reads and News:
My latest Momstown post is about bonfires and S’Mores – and includes a secret way my Mother in Law taught us to eat them.
Along with a few other ladies I greatly admire, I appeared in the Toronto Sun talking about blogging and being a mompreneur (although, this is a very ‘toe in water’ title for me as of now)
The first Social Capital Conference was on July 23 and as part of the planning committee I am very thrilled with how it turned out. My recap is over on Sense and Community, and in the upcoming weeks I’ll be posting information from the panel I was on about Blog Monetization and the roundtables I hosted about Twitter.
Finally, while I am not attending Blogher this year, I want to give a bloggy wave to all of my friends who are – especially those who flew to San Diego from Ottawa! Interested in following along? The hashtag is #blogher11 but keep an eye out for @capitalmom on Twitter who often has great live tweeting during sessions and @phdinparenting who is one of this year’s Voices of the Year!! Congrats Annie!
I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer so far!!
You have been busy! Glad the summer is going well for you and the family. Congratulations on the Capital Conference success and on the Toronto Sun article. Best wishes for a great Fall! (Can’t believe I’m even using the word Fall already!)
