This weekend is not only going to be about Thanksgiving, but some school in the area have also added a PD Day on the Friday. A four day weekend plus lovely weather is something I am definitely looking forward to.
We are hosting Thanksgiving with my family which means on Saturday we’ll be spending some time cleaning, and Sunday will be spent in the kitchen. My brother from out of town is staying with us and that means the kids will be all over him and excited to play.
Meanwhile, Bit of Momsense Advertisers themselves have a lot of ideas for what to do this weekend. What’s in store?
1- Saunders Farm has extended hours for the weekend and are open on Friday for the PD Day and Monday for the holiday. Buy your tickets online using the code THANKU to save on each ticket! (Don’t forget to sign up for their newsletter for ongoing updates and discounts!)
2- The Children’s Museum is hosting Thanksgiving with Mr. Potato Head. Take your picture with the big spud, check out the culinary adventures at the museum and have fun!
3- Dufflebag Theatre company is performing a fun, interaction rendition of Cinderella at Shenkman Arts Centre. Upcoming shows also include Dracula and Peter Pan, all for ages 4 and up. Discounts are available when you buy tickets to all three shows! (I just bought tickets for my daughter and I – full report PLUS a giveaway coming next week!)
4- The PD Day may have sprung up and surprised many of us, but Tag Along Toys in Kanata is ready with a crafting session from 10 am until 12 pm. All kids are welcome to go and get creative!
