I will admit it. I love a great romantic movie. I always have and I don’t feel ashamed recognizing that every so often, I just have to watch one again.
So, while I am bummed that Pride and Prejudice is no longer available on Netflix (picture me looking like Mr. Darcy, sad, in the rain), here are 5 other romantic movies to fill your heart if you are like me!
1- North and South
Okay, this is a multi-part mini-series, but I’m counting it as a movie. If you like period piece romances, this will be a hit. The first episode seems slow, but by the end I was swooning.
2- Austenland
I can’t even tell you how much I love this movie. There’s a chance I could watch it over and over again and still want to keep watching it. It’s a little indie movie that that hits all the right notes for cheese, comedy and romantic follies.
3- 13 Going on 30
How many times have you seen this? If it’s not more than 2, than you need to watch it again. When Jennifer Garner isn’t kicking butt (I loved Alias), she’s wonderful in this type of sweet role. Plus, Mark Ruffalo.
