At Christmas, I always get my son (and soon my daughter since this will be her first Christmas) and my husband books. Usually, I will get a book for both my husband and son from me. Or for my husband from my son.
This year, baby girl will ‘give’ her big brother a book from her. There is a sea of wonderful books to give, but then I stumbled across this at a Chapters one day:
“What a Good Big Brother” is about a boy who becomes a big brother and all the wonderful things he does to help, be involved etc. For example, he brings a nursing pillow to mommy (yes, they call it a nursing pillow and there’s a sweet drawing of mommy feeding baby – but the pillow thing is perfect because that’s what my son did!) or that big brother tickles her toes to make her smile.
It’s sweet and completely relatable. The pictures are sweet and the words are encouraging. The little boy is able to be a big part of the new family and bonds with his sibling (because she smiles back at him!)
This is a really great book if you are expecting another addition. Baby girl will be wrapping it up for big bro this year.
