Have you been watching the Olympics? I sure have been. I love them. They are fun, exciting, interesting. But a few thoughts:
Medals aren’t everything. I’m proud to see our athletes try so hard. It stresses me when we get *so* close but it doesn’t mean I hate them!
I am crazy tired. I mean, everything is on at night, but PST – so the peak hours for many events is 9-12 EST. I’ve been staying up way too late. Lot’s of coffee is consumed. Maybe a coffee company should sponsor the Olympics.
It’s exciting watching sports with my son. He’s hilarious ‘we won!! Canada won!’. Um, no pal, there are 2 periods left. Okay, so he has no concept of time, periods etc. but it’s adorable. I also loved it when he asked to play ‘pole skating’ on the computer – he meant skiing 😉
I now like Curling.
Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross, Skeleton etc. scare me. But are awesome to watch.
While I did say that medals aren’t everything, I get very excited when we win one!
The CTV coverage? I was sceptical at first but now think it’s great. The Jay guy from TSN in the morning? Freakin’ hilarious. Many great guests, interviews, info pieces and Rick Hansen, you and your Difference Makers make me cry every time.
And one final note: GO CANADA GO!!!!!
ps: I really want one of the Canada hoodies!!! wahhhh!
