There is maybe no greater time than now, given everything that has been happening in our lives, to give thanks.
My family and I are blessed with each other, a loving family, caring friends and soon excellent health again.
This is the week before Thanksgiving, a holiday that typically is more about gathering and eating than reflecting on thanks. But this year, it feels different.
It feels like I can’t say thank you enough to people in my lives. That I can’t feel grateful enough for what I have been given – blessings in the form of 2 sweet children and a husband to cherish them with. Even in the darkest of times, in the hardest of days, we have each other to draw love and support from. And we will have each other for years to come.
We still have some mountains to climb, some fearful days, but they will all end in sunshine. There is no choice. We have to make it so. His health will return, and we will continue to live. And LIVE with enthusiasm.
Life is hard sometimes. The day to day can seem like an eternity. A struggle. But for most of us, happiness is rooted somewhere. Gifts take different forms. Perspective is important.
It’s Thanksgiving week and I am forever thankful for so many things.
What are you thankful for?
– My beautiful, brilliant daughter.
– My beautiful, brilliant wife.
– Our parents, siblings and family.
– The amazing community of people around us that give us so much love and support.
– The return of hockey season
I’m thankful for health, family and friends. To me, that’s all that matters. And I’m thankful for you, Lil Bit, because you are so great.
I’m thankful for life. For mine, for my kids’, for my husband’s….for all the wonderful people I’m surrounded by. That they are here, and alive and with me now. Because tomorrow? Tomorrow, they may not be. It’s why we should give thanks every single day.
I’m thankful for my family’s health. I’m thankful for my sisters. I’m thankful for my better half Jenn who graces my life with balance and sweetness. I am thankful for being able to share my passion for food with her. I’m thankful for good friends and the amazing people who keep walking into our lives.
I’m grateful for being able to contribute to the community around us.
For my husband, children and grandchildren.
For my five sisters, their spouses, my nieces and nephews and great nieces.
For having all five senses.
For our military members & their families and their sacrifices for our country.
For the internet, especially these past several months for it has brought new wonderful people and opportunities to my life through blogging etc.
Oh, how much I could go on….but I’ll just add that I’m thankful for having met you. You & your husband have been a source of grace for me. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for so much this year!
Most importantly for my Husband and children who fill my day to day life with Love no matter what goes on outside in the rest of the world.
I am also thankful for my Parents, who have been a blessing to so many people not only me.
