As always, the weekend in Ottawa is full of events and things to do, but with Christmas just around the corner, here are some places to help get your Christmas shopping done!
1) Originals Craft Show is at Lansdowne Park. This even last for 10 days, but what’s especially great is that they are focusing on parents this year. With their ‘stroller days’ on December 14-16 (don’t worry babywearers – we’re included!) parents get into the show for regular price but bring a friend, co-parent etc. for free! More details:
Over 200 artists, artisans, and designers have been carefully selected to take part in this show, creating a blend of specialty boutiques that provide shoppers with high quality one-of-a-kind gift items for everyone on their list.

2- Apples n’ Oranges are having a Holiday Sale on Saturday, December 11 from 10-1. Pairing up with other local businesses, there will be some great deals and finds, especially for the kids. More info here.
3- The Locavore Artisan Food Fair sounds fabulous. 21 food vendors are sure to offer holiday gift and entertaining treats for you or your loved ones. What a wonderful idea! I hope to make it to this. Find out more here.
4-A new consignment shop has opened up in Stittsville. Dandelions Consignment Boutique offer new and gently used items. This weekend they are having a customer appreciation sale offering 10-20% off many items, plus will donate a portion of sales to their local Food Bank. I love hearing about women entrepreneurs, but even more so those who also give back to their communities! If you are in the west end and check it out, let me know!
If that’s not enough, they’ve also teamed up with Chiquita Baby and Tag Along Toys. Shop at one, and save at the others!
Happy shopping!
