From time to time I have the chance to review products, win products or receive products that are more for younger children or babies. As my kids get older, not everything is a fit with my family.
Because of this, I decided to start donating these items to a wonderful group that could provide them to mothers who can use them. I contacted the wonderful people at Mothercraft and will begin dropping off items when I get them this year.
Mothercraft has been providing services and support to families in our community since 1944. They have a volunteer birth and parent companion program, a childbirth education program and breastfeeding support to help new parents. They also offer child care and early learning opportunities for children.
I’m adding their logo and a link to my website so that if you like, you can donate to them year round. Financial donations will support at risk mother’s in the Birth and Companion Parent program.
Remember how hard becoming a new parent was? Imagine not having any support. Luckily, Mothercraft will help many moms navigate those first few difficult years.
I’m very proud to make my blog a kind blog in this way.
You can help too!
During Kindness Week in Ottawa, you can drop off baby items such as blankets, washclothes, socks, nursing bras and more at locations across the city. These products are being given to Mothercraft to be distributed to families in need. Visit the website for a full list of drop off points and items of need.
Are you a blogger? How can you make your blog more kind?
I love this idea! Good for you 🙂
I’ve been thinking about this a lot ever since Kindness Week. I’m glad you came up with this challenge. It’s encouraging me to think about ways I can make some adjustments and help others.
