Over the past few weeks, Annie of PHD in Parenting has been hosting a Carnival of Toddlers with posts about sleep, food and everything in between for our little ones.
The toddler age is an interesting one, no longer a baby, but still so little and young. They try to assert independence but still need so much.
My daughter turns 3 next month and it’s been a really great age.
I’m honoured to be guest posting on Annie’s site for the carnival. Please swing over and take a read to see why I think the toddler age is getting an unfair reputation.
Thanks Annie!
Yes, toddler are FAR more than tantrums! I can’t help but adore toddlers!!! My 3 year old just melts my heart with his new words, his desire to “help Mommy!” and his excitement when seeing something new in his surroundings.
Well said! I am sad to be leaving the toddler years behind:( I had a wise neighbour tell me when DS1 was born to enjoy the early years. “Small kids have small problems (tantrums) and big kids have big problems (bullying).” I’ll take a tantrum over bullying. These guys of mine have taught me to be a better person.
