If you are like me, you either love clothing and accessories, or once upon a time did (I’m looking at before you, children). I still love to dress up, but I took a pause from my necklaces, earrings and other bobbles when my kids were babies – it was just too difficult (and wearing a necklace during breastfeeding = distraction).
But I love those accessories, I take time to find the right one to match a certain neckline, or that will sparkle in lights. It’s FUN.
That may be why I’m excited to introduce a new advertiser Stella & Dot, specifically extraordinary stylist Sandra Butler.
Sandra has been a supporter of Shopping and Sweets since it began, which is where we met (I think?). She is friendly, savvy and passionate about what she does.
I asked Sandra some questions about Stella & Dot and the work she does:
I became a stylist in October 2008 and I haven’t looked back. I started Stella & Dot as a hobbyist but quickly got the bug of having fun trunk shows where I would meet groups of women who were having a great girls night in while enjoying wine and cupcakes. The trunk show is a chance for women to socialize in the comfort of the hostess’ home while leaving the kids at home and having an excuse to be girly…playing and dressing up with jewelry and being styled by me. Plus the hostess ends up with tons of free jewelry!! Since July 2010 I have been doing Stella & Dot full-time.

I currently have a beautiful flower brooch from Stella & Dot that I am complimented on frequently and bought my mom a necklace for Christmas. There are a lot of other pieces I would love to get though!
Sandra sent some pictures of some of her favourite pieces.
I think the products are beautiful! But if you are like me, you are also on the look out for a good deal – many of these prices rival the fancy stores, plus there are sometimes some really great sales that make it even more affordable.
Interested in becoming a stylist yourself and working with Sandra? She’d love that:
The biggest thrill for me is finding women who want to do what I do and coaching them to success. My formal education is in training so it has been amazing to me how I could bring my love of bling with my passion for training and coaching others. I am always looking for stylists all over Canada to join my team and become an Independent Stella & Dot stylist. Contact me at yourtrunkshow@gmail.com for more information.
