I’m trying to get some house work done in between doing some writing and taking care of my daughter who had a 2 hour flu this morning it seems.
After discussing how futile it is sometimes to clean with the kids around, I made this. Because I believe it to be true 😉
I agree! The distraction of kids and stopping/starting means everything takes 3 times as long. In my business, we’ve had clients say it takes them 5 hours to clean their house, and our surprised when our staff do the same job in 3. Our staff are trained and focused on the cleaning, not the kids or the laundry or the clutter. If you are doing the housework yourself, an empty house is ideal!
My wife and I have a great arrangement where I take the kids out of the house for an hour or so, while she gets caught up on all the household stuff. She runs a daycare so the empty house is an added bonus every now and then 🙂
So true! Because Max’s daycare is up in the Trim road area, I have to pass home before going up there – so I go home for 30 minutes or so to get some cleaning done beforehand
Are you trying to make time to clean while the kids aren’t around – DON’T!
Involve the kids and make it a family activity. #LifeSimplified
