Tonight, at the stroke of midnight, we will ring in a new year and welcome 2013. 2012 was personally a pretty good year for me, but it meant many changes. My son started grade 1 (and it was his first full time school adventure), my daughter started preschool, Andy went back to work full time after being off on disability and recovering (and surviving!) cancer. We decided not to move house but renovated our kitchen instead and I took on additional contracts working with some fantastic companies, in addition to writing this blog.
The year could be classified as ‘new’ in many ways. New beginnings, new enlightenment, new appreciation and more.
I’ve selected 12 posts of 2012 that I am especially happy to have shared with you. Some are because I wrote them with little editing and just wrote the words I was feeling (those are always my personal best posts because they are raw, but I don’t do them very often it seems). Some are informational and I think they were either helpful or had the potential to be helpful, and some were just fun.
Thank you, dear readers, for joining this journey with me. It’s been a blast. I look forward to seeing what 2013 brings!
Wishing you peace, love and happiness in the new year!
12 Bit of Momsense Posts of 2012
1- A Day in the Life (I think many of you can relate to this one!)
2- Why I think people should start a blog
3- Measuring height on the wall, and why these memories mean so much to me
4- 6 gifts I recommend giving new parents
5- Why I love play dates (mostly the mama kind)
6- Our trip to PEI (This is one post, but I did many. And know that many readers are considering -or have booked- their trips to PEI next year! It’s family perfection for a vacation I think. We head back in July 2013!)
7- My post about having not left the kids overnight yet – which changes in January (but also, the message is, do what feels right for YOU!)
8- I love to bake, but I mess up once and a while, and learn a lesson along the way.
9- My four year old love clothes. Currently, she will only wear nightgowns. This post will always remind me of this 😉
10- I was a round table speaker at Blissdom Canada this year. My post with my notes and slides about Growing and Organic Online Community is something I worked hard on and feel very proud of!
11- Mostly because it hurt my heart, I wrote about our very first trip ever to CHEO. We are lucky to have CHEO around, but it was scary for all of us.
12- My son turned 6 and I felt many feelings. I love seeing him grow, but can’t believe how quickly time passes.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
