Good Eats: BBQ Edition

Confession: Our BBQ isn’t working and we haven’t decided if we are going to replace it.

Hello? Are you still there? Still with me? No really, we might not. I lose my ‘foodie of summer’ card or something now, don’t I?

But in all seriousness, I do like BBQ food, but we just don’t make it often. It helps that my parents live so close and no one can make a steak like my dad.  It certainly doesn’t mean I won’t share some great BBQ posts with you along the way!

So for the Good Eats round up this week, other BBQ loving bloggers have shared their recipes, which I in turn am happy to pass along to you.

1- Marinades! Chicken is best when flavoured I think (unless it’s a simple roast) but check out these tips from Mara for creating an excellent marinade:

2 – Chicken and Ribs. ‘Nuff said. Thanks to Life in Pleasantville

3- BBQ Chicken Wings from Kitchen Counter Chronicles (okay, now I’m rethinking the BBQ replacement thing)

4- All good BBQ needs amazing side dishes. I make this potato salad recipe a lot, but check out Ghetto Foodie’s apple bacon coleslaw. YUM!

Happy Grilling 😉
