I checked out The Baby Show Ottawa today and the place was hopping! As with their Fall show, the Ottawa Baby Show had something for new parents, expecting parents, and those with wee ones. You can shop, score some discounts, participate in demonstrations, take in a seminar and more.
What I really like about this show is that there is a heavy representation of local shops and businesses. It’s not just ‘big giants’ in the baby industry – there are some local small businesses with fantastic offerings for parents in the city.
The show is worth checking out this weekend!
Tips:
♥ Buy your tickets online to save time when you arrive.
♥ The first thing you should do is sign up for a 15 massage at Anna Belanger’s booth then walk the floor until your massage time.
♥ There is lots of room for strollers, but carriers will make it easier for you and the babe to wonder and get close to the booths – many booths have chances to win so you want to be able to fill out ballots!
♥ Check out the seminar line up on the website and try to time your visit with some of those sessions.
♥ There is coffee and snacks available right in the show if you need them. Also, a breastfeeding/baby feeding area is available, but I saw mamas nursing in a few different places – there are spots to sit!
Clockwise from top left: Amanda DeGrace is offering Yoga Sessions during the weekend; Peekaboo Beans has a booth that includes toys for little ones to play on while you shop from Just Play Toy Rental; Pretty Handsome is doing mini manicures and hair services with a portion of the fees going to CHEO.
Blog advertiser terra20 is at the show featuring some of their most popular baby items plus they’ve just launched a new parent point program! Sign up at the show to get a gift card!
Amanda from Little Lotus Yoga; a new to me shop Mimosura.com had some fantastic jewellery for moms and kids including earrings with flat backs for those with pierced ears; Dr. Alexis Reid from local company Eco Chic Movement is featuring some bath and body products for babies and moms.
I wish I could be there with my toys this weekend. Looks like a great time – for parents and kids!
it was a great show, and the toys were well used I think!
