If you participated in the recent Kraft Canada Twitter party, you may have noticed that I tweeted a picture of my twist on Mac and Cheese using the new Kraft shredded cheese with a touch of Philly Cream Cheese. Many people asked about the recipe so I am finally sharing it here!
It turned out so well that I’ve added it into my rotation of meals to make. While I traditionally eat more pasta in the cool, winter months, it’s still hard to beat a fantastic lasagna recipe or pasta meal every so often. You can change this up too – just add a different type of pesto or veggie for a new twist every time you make it.
To make my current favourite version, you only need your favourite mac and cheese recipe (mine is here) that you are already using and a few extra ingredients.
Enjoy!
- Your favourite Mac and Cheese recipe
- 3 teaspoons sun dried tomato pesto
- 1/2 cup chopped roasted red peppers
- Make your usually Mac and Cheese recipe.
- While the cheese mixture is on the stove top, add the red peppers and sun dried tomato pesto. Stir until combined.
- Add pasta and bake per usual.
- Enjoy!
