My kids (especially my 7 year old) are at the age when jokes are everything. They are HILARIOUS to them. What’s not hilarious? When kids try to make up jokes on the fly.
“Knock Knock”
“Who’s There?”
“Box”
“Box who?”
“Box to hold Kleenex!”
Oh boy.
While we sat around the campfire roasting marshmallows the other night, we decided to share with the kids some actually kid-friendly, and funny jokes. Sure, we had to use our phones to google some, but still! It meant a lot of laughs for all of us.
Here’s the list I started with from Baby Centre: Jokes for Kids. It took me 15 minutes to get the joke about 0 and 8. Oops 😉
I remember when I was younger ordering Scholastic joke books at the school book fair. I think it’s time my kids are introduced to those too. Because I can’t take another knock knock joke that makes no sense!
However, the odd time we run across a joke on a menu, or while watching a show and it sticks with us. Our current fave?
How do you make a milk shake?
Give it a good scare!
I’m still laughing.
Have any good, kid-friendly jokes? Please share them in the comments! I need more for our next campfire night!
We get a kick out of the jokes on the back of the Chirp magazines or in the National Geographic Kids books.
Some of our favourites right now:
Q: What’s a koala’s favourite drink?
A: Coca-Koala
Q: How do polar bears keep cool?
A: They turn on the bear conditioning.
