Penguins are cute. And funny. If you’ve ever watched The Penguins of Madagascar (and hooray! They have a new movie!), you’ll agree.
Penguins are also cute. Is it the way they waddle? The way they can’t fly? The way they cuddle their newborns? We have a few children’s books in this house that feature penguins and we love them. We even have stuffed penguins.
This month, for my Netflix #streamteam feature, we’re chatting movies that make us laugh for the kids. That’s an easy one to find on Netflix, take a peek in the kids’ comedy/animated film categories and you’ll find something. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is one favourite.
Another, is Mr. Popper’s Penguins. This was a movie that we all ended up loving. The kids have watched it over and over again. I didn’t know what to expect and it was cute, family friendly, funny and sweet.
What I didn’t know was that it was based on a book. I found that out when my son brought home the book he picked for his latest English assignment: Mr. Popper’s Penguins.
Pop some popcorn, place your posterior down and peep Mr. Popper’s Penguins
Disclosure: This post is part of my membership on the Netflix #streamteam. I receive perks for being a part of the group. All opinions are my own. I really do believe penguins are cute and funny.
When I was a kid we had a very old copy of Mr. Popper’s Penguins that was much loved. I read it several times.
