Christmas Cheer

I am fully into Christmas right now. The tree went up tonight (yay!), after a weekend away at Chateau Montebello with the family (which is fully decorated at this time of year!), our elf, Gingy, has returned, and the kids pretty well say ‘we are so excited for Christmas’ almost every day.

After the star went on the tree tonight, they insisted we hold hands around the tree and just stare at it. Don’t ask me why, but I do think it’s because they are little sentimental sweethearts and somewhere along the way we did something right in instilling a sweet belief in spirit of Christmas in them.

The next couple of weeks will be busy on the blog and with family events. Despite that, I am committed to slowing down each day and enjoying the moments that I hold most dearly.  The smell of my mint tea, the laughter of the kids, the twinkle of the lights.  It’s beautiful this time of year.
