With Canada Day just around the corner, you may be planning a low key day with the family, or a fun-filled get together with friends. No matter your plans, if you are like me, there will be a lot of food happening.
Kraft Canada has a page to help your planning with easy summer recipes and Canada Day recipes that your party goers will love, even the wee Canadians who are celebrating.
I love buffet style meals. I think I’ve shared this on the blog before. There is something deliciously simple about picking various bites of food on the table to eat. It means that my taste buds can explore many different flavours all at once. It means that I don’t need to commit to only one thing. Not to mention, when entertaining, serving a buffet is so much less work than plating a meal.
In the summer, we often have meals like this. Bits and bites of whatever is in the cupboard, a veggie tray, dips and more. We don’t always want to cook or use the hot oven, so this is the perfect way to feed the four of us.
I tried this Kraft nacho dip recipe. Using the same components, instead of heating it up, I simple mixed it together and left as a cold dip. It was delicious! And didn’t last long the night we had it.
This Canada Day, try some simple flavours and ideas so you can spend more time celebrating our country and less time in the kitchen!
