Enter to win your way into the sold out Trim your Tree Workshop on December 1!
Just like little holiday elves, your family will love the DIY craft time hosted at the Nepean Visual Arts Centre in Nepean. You may remember a few years ago my family went and we loved it. The kids were surprised with hot chocolates and all of us created the cutest reindeer that still remain a significant part of our Christmas decorating! We loved the bonding time and I think you and your family will too (or maybe you and your friend want to take your kids, or maybe you and your sisters, or grandparents – there are endless combinations of who you can bring!) But registration is for four people (and one needs to be an adult)
During the workshop you’ll make some holiday crafts together that you can keep and cherish for years to come.

Our favorite Holiday tradition is trimming the tree while listening to Christmas music! Our kids are much older but still enjoy the magic of the season. Coming in at a close second would be decorating the Gingerbread houses!
Merry Christmas To All!
We have so many traditions around this time of year, but my favourite is our annual trip to NYC to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and visit Santa. This trip marks the beginning of our holiday season, and sets off many other traditions. We also entwine a lot of our “Christmas magic” beliefs into the trip, from our Santa visit, to our Elf flying down with Santa for the parade and then beating us home. My other favourite is having the kids decorate their trees. We put a small 3ft tree in each of their bedrooms, and they each decorate theirs any way they like. It is always so cool to see what decorations they want to use, what they want to make, and whether or not they come up with a theme or just put on whatever they like at that moment. I could go on and on…even the little things we do seem so special at this time of year!
