In Ottawa, we have been drenched with rain an awful lot lately. Today is finally sunny so we took off to the beach, but we know from the forecast that the rain is coming back.
Keeping the kids busy when all they want to do outside can be tricky, but I’ve discovered that turning unusual things into games means a lot of time playing something fun, new and keeping their minds off the outdoors.
This one is one we’ve been doing: Bumbo Basketball.

Equals a lot of fun. We put the Bumbo on one side of the play room and try to score on it.
Other variations: Use a baby’s rocker or bassinet (when baby is not in it! ha!), vegetable bins, buckets, anything plus balls or bean bag sacs.
The next time it rains, play a little indoor basketball and hopefully you’ll keep a little sanity until the sun comes out! 😉
