Oh hi blog! How are you? Yes, I have been absent, but with good reason. We celebrated Christmas, then traveled to see family and celebrate some more. Then it was the New Year, and then, well, I won’t lie, I just didn’t have much to say.
I’ve been spending the past few days getting myself back into a routine (the kids are next – oh, how they need a routine back!) I’ve been cooking in the kitchen with a renewed sense of healthy eating (partly out of necessity), I’ve been working on social media client plans and drafting out some blog posts.
I’ve even being cleaning up some pockets of the house that needed attention! Yes, this is worth noting, usually it takes a lot more for me to care about the pile of papers in the corner.
I feel refreshed going into the New Year. 2014 was a pretty great year all around, I feel happy, we’ve been healthy. I have a lot to celebrate. 2015 feels like a big year. I can’t really predict why, it’s just a feeling.
Do you select three words each year? Or set goals? Make resolutions? I like a list of goals and I like choosing words to help guide me.
This always takes time. Goals I find are easier. I usually have a mix between personal and professional goals, and that’s no different this year. We want to travel more as a family, spend more quality time together, I want to write more (non-blog/social media related writing), exercise more and spend more time with friends. They are simple goals, but they make me happy.
I seem to be charging into 2015 with an open heart and a giant, goofy smile. It’s a pretty good feeling I have to say. I’m still working on my 3 words, I’ll share them on Facebook when I have them, but in the meantime, if you have goals or words or resolutions, I’d love to hear them!
Happy New Year 😉
