When I’m out and about with the kids, and we want a little treat I often buy a box of 10 Timbits (for my American friends, it’s those round donut ball things at Tim Horton’s, the Canadian coffee institution).
So, box of 10 Timbits to split between the 3 of us (usually a mix of cherry and chocolate, or all cherry).
10 Timbits. 3 people.
Tell the kids that there is enough for all of us to have 2.
*ahem* they get their 2, and I get my ‘2’.
Someday they are going to grow up and get wise to my math calculations aren’t they?
But until then, pass me the box of Timbits.
Oooo, you sneaky mommy!
🙂
Mine are fully aware that it means 5 for each of them and a coffee for Mommy. Who taught them how to count anyway?
A lesson in math, economics and the CRA all in one. I love it!
