Tomorrow is November 11. It’s Remembrance day and in our house it’s a day we will always remember.
Of course we will think about our veterans and soldiers who fought in wars or went on peace keeping missions for our country. But November 11 we remember loss in a different way.
2 years ago on that day we lost my husband’s father to pancreatic cancer. Father, father-in-law, husband, grandfather. After a well fought 11-month battle, we had to say goodbye. My son would turn 2 just a few days later. I was pregnant with our daughter. We feel robbed that he never met her (she would have stolen his heart no doubt) and sad when our son still asks where grandpa is.
But we have memories. Fond memories. And so tomorrow we certainly will be remembering, with the country, and with our family.
Miss you grandpa! xo
Sweet post Rebecca. Hugs to you and your family. And we are remembering today, too.
Thanks Bec.
