A couple of weekends ago I stepped into the kitchen for a day of cooking. I love doing this, especially on the weekends when I have time (read: I’m not as distracted by the kids). After watching a Food Network episode with Michael Smith, we had filed his ‘Bacon Whiskey Jam’ into our ‘must make’ cooking plans. I finally did.
It was a long process, but oh boy, was it ever worth it. Delicious. That night we paired it with his bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. We have since used it on burgers and on grilled cheese sandwiches. In fact, Andy even tried it on pancakes (and loved it).
It’s a keeper recipe, a special, decadent treat that I will gladly make again.
