Thanks to Future Shop, I had the chance to try out their Marley Jammin’ Positive Vibration headphones. I don’t use headphones a lot, mostly because I’m picky about them. The small ones in my ears tend to bug me and it’s not always easy to use the over the ear ones.
But the Marley ones were pretty awesome. They fit perfectly (adjustable, but the ear part isn’t huge and they fit snugly), and the sound was incredible. Way better than the buds I usually have to use. I noticed right away when testing them out on my iPhone that I didn’t need the phone volume up very loud to hear just fine. The show I was watching came in crystal clear and I could hear all the background detail.
They also shut out the other noise from the cartoons that were on. Suddenly, Skype meetings and phone calls that I usually take with kids running around seem more accessible.
I then put it to the test with the real critics – Andy and my son are music lovers. My son doesn’t usually wear headphones, especially the buds. These fit him well and since they weren’t the buds they seemed more comfortable for him. I found they were great for him to play his music (he likes to create) on the iPad.
Andy thought they sounded really sharp – and he listens to music and uses ear phones the most (especially when recording with his guitar). He was a fan.
Despite my lack of knowledge on the subject, I do know that I like these headphones. And, the packaging is all eco-friendly and recyclable! (No plastic!).
As a side note, we are real fans of Future Shop. Have you ever taken your kids in there? For this family of game/electronic lovers it’s like going to a fun fest. My son used to call it the Canada Store because there is a leaf on the outside of the store. Too cute!
