It’s no secret that our family loves history. When we travel we like to learn about the history of the area we are visiting, or we like to find museums, or places that tell us a story. It’s always fun to listen to the kids talk about history and ask questions to learn more about important (or just interesting) moments in time.
That’s why when a friend gifted my son the Kayak magazine, all about Canadian history, a couple of years ago, it couldn’t have been a better gift. Each issue is filled with incredibly written stories that keep his interest and have him wanting to learn more about this country. His sister now flips through the pages as well. There are activities and photos and bits of info that help all of us learn something new.
If you are looking for a special gift, or just want something for the kids to read that comes in the mail, we highly recommend Kayak!
